US Special Operation Command (USSOCOM) contract
EOTech has received notification from Crane (the contracting group) at the Naval Warfare Surface Center. This contract was awarded under the MDNS solicitation and especially for the enhanced combat optical sight portion...the past acronym was the SOP MOD program.The fact that USSOcom has standarized on the HWS is of major significance. The annoucenment can be viewed on the US DoD web page at www.dod.mil/contracts/2004/ct20040513.html. The contract award was made on 5/13.. and then scroll down to the 2nd page under US Navy contracts. The US government placed this information in the public domain. Here is the offical announcement.

The ECOS-C capability provides for a lightweight, waterproof optical sighting device(s) capable of providing target acquisition and aiming for close quarter battle as well as out to 600 meters. US Marine Corp order
USMC ordered 2,000 x M552's for placement into Force Reconn and the 24th MEU, being rotated into active war zones into Iraq. Placement is on M4 carbine,primarily for urban, close quarter engagements.

U.S. Army - RFI and EOTech Agreement
The U.S. Army has awarded EOTech, Inc. a contract for immediate supply of optical weapon sights. The contract acquires in excess of 6,000 EOTech standard commercial off-the-shelf, HOLOgraphic Weapon Sights (HWS) for use on M4 weaponry. The specific version is the night vision compatible AA battery military model 552.

Alliant Lake City Small Caliber Ammunition Company L.L.C., Independence, Mo., was awarded on May 10, 2004, a delivery order amount of $37,663,880 as part of a $335,179,134 firm-fixed-price contract for .50 Caliber MK211 lnked dm tace and lnked tace crtridges. Work will be performed in Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on April 14, 2003. The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-D-0016).
The Purdy Corp.*, Manchester, Conn., was awarded on May 12, 2004, a delivery order amount of $11,548,950 as part of a $33,546,950 firm-fixed-price contract for sare prts for the UH-60 Blackhawk. Work will be performed in Manchester, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Kellogg Brown and Root Services, Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a maximum value $35,000,000 firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity job order contract to provide new construction, renovation, alteration, and repairs for construction projects in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. This contract contains four option years with a guaranteed minimum of $100,000 for each year. The work to be performed work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Va. (50 percent); Norfolk, Va. Oshkosh Truck Corp., (OTC), Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $5,390,809 firm-fixed-price contract to provide six resupply systems. The system includes six resupply vehicles, six resupply trailers, training, field service representative support and documentation supporting the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. The resupply vehicle is a variant of the Medium Tactical Vehicle replacement. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $32,952,435. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis. (88 percent) and Grand Forks, N.D. (12 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Hawker Energy Products, Inc., Warrensburg, Mo., is being awarded $7,392,000 fixed price with economic price adjustment type of contract for batteries and storage for military vehicles and their electronic and communications equipment for the Navy, Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps. This is a one-year base period contract with four one-year option periods. Work will also be performed in Newport, South Wales (United Kingdom). Performance completion date is expected to be May 12, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of this fiscal year. This was a web proposal solicitation and one responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va. (SP0430-04-D-1207).
AIR FORCE
The Redon Group, Washington D.C., is being awarded a $6,296,299 time and materials contract to provide for media analysis in support of Global War on Terrorism. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by October 2004. Solicitation began April 2004 and negotiations were completed May 2004. The Air Intelligence Agency, San Antonio, Texas, is the contracting activity (FA7037-04-F-8104).
