#101st Soldiers use 'Clarkville flood experience' to save Afghan lives# C: c* I9 F' D
NANGARHAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan -U.S. Army Soldiers with the Military Police Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Special Troops Battalion, Task Force Spartan, rescue an Afghan child from encroaching flood waters in the Nari Shahi village in the Beshood District of eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province July 28. The flooding was caused when more than six inches of rain enveloped the area in a few hours. The platoon was returning from a patrol in the district and stopped to help the villagers when they realized the dangers of the situation.
